Flu Vaccination Clinics

We accept most major insurances including United Healthy, Blue Cross, Cigna, Humana,Medicare and Aetna usually with no copay or out of pocket charges.  We are happy to come to churches where Medicare coverage is often critical to participation.

Staying Healthy Medical Services provided flu shots at hundreds of locations in North Texas last year and is the immunization provider for many of the largest employers in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area including large School Districts, Utility, Oil, Mass Transit and companies in virtually all industries.

Our process is as follows:

1.  We ask the immunization clinic sponsor to sign an agreement and pick a tentative date.  If it is an employer wanting us to submit to BCBS, we request group numbers to confirm immunization coverage.

2.  2-3 months out, we confirm a date and times for the clinic including staffing and send a pre-visit checklist to the organization.  If requested, we provide details on how to use flu vouchers at pharmacy locations.

3.  We re-confirm the date/time and any details 2-5 days before the immunization clinic.

Vaccination

  • Vaccination is the best protection against contracting the flu. High-dose seasonal flu vaccine is for people 65 years and older and is covered by Medicare
  • People who are at high-risk for flu (children, seniors and people with certain health conditions) should also receive a pneumococcal vaccination.

The Seasonal Flu Vaccine

  • Everyone 6 months of age and older should get vaccinated against the flu.
  • Vaccination of high risk persons is especially important to decrease their risk of severe flu illness.
  • Vaccination is important for health care workers, and other people who live with or care for high risk people to keep from spreading flu to high risk people.
